TOPSHOP EDIT

Whilst I was in LA Sephora purchases were being made left right and centre, I actually ended up doing three rounds of purchases (make that a forth if you count going back for my mummys birthday present)! It's a very rare occasion that I ever shop in Sephora and there hadn't been a large beauty haul for some time around these parts, so with Sephora (and Ulta) I went for it.

As well as a completely falling in love with a lot of the products, there are also a few I wasn't so impressed with - spoilers! You can watch the video for a full run down of products (totally couldn't fit them all in the picture above) and swatches (SWATCHESSSS!? I KNOW!) but for a quick run down of my stand outs keep reading...

Favourites to look out for when you visit:

The rest are all in the info box of my YouTube Channel!
Part one of the US beauty hauling extravaganza went up on Sunday - kicking things off is an Ulta beauty haul! I was pleasantly surprised by Ulta, aside from the Lorac Pro palette I wasn't convinced it would have much else that interested me, but I spent a good hour perusing the isles and had to empty my basket back on to shelves a couple of times as things got a bit extreme.

The lesson I learnt from this is that Lorac is an awesome brand and IT cosmetics are definitely a brand I'm wanting to buy more of. I can't lie, I am already planning my next trip to the US and the shopping list is rather long already...

THINGS I PICKED UP:

Hold on to your wallets people because June has been a spendy month...

From a trip to Kiehl's where I picked up the Skin Rescuer and the Clearly Corrective Dark Circle Perfecter (the latter on Alix's recommendation - she's a bad influence!) to a seriously MAC moment. I had never purchased so many things from MAC all at once but had to pick up a few MAC Shades (Amorous, Syrup and Mehr) as well as Soar Lip Liner. I almost left it at that before discovering the Conceal and Correct Palette and with my love of concealing it just had to be mine.

And don't even get me started on my Duty Free Haul. After attempting a super market sweep style dash for chocolate I couldn't quite make it out without being drawn to a few counters. The Esteé Lauder counter is the one that won me over though and I left armed with the Bronze Goddess Skin Scent and Brush On Glow BB Highlighter.

After all that I'm still left feeling a little bit MAC obsessed, so hit me up with your recommendations for lipsticks, eyeshadows or anything that packs a serious shimmer. It is almost payday after all...

Last weekend I tweeted a photo of one rather hefty Boots bag and there were a lot of requests for a haul. It's a mixture of makeup and skincare with an additional hair product thrown in for good measure.

WARNING: I say definitely far too many times in this video. I promise to be more eloquent next week...

THINGS I BOUGHT:
Bourjois CC Cream (shade 51)
Bourjois Powder (shade 52)
Bourjois Bronze & Highlight
Rimmel Apocalips Matte Lip Laquers in Orange-Ology & Meteoric Matte
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Frambourjois
Tanya Burr Everyday Flutter False Lashes (Superdrug purchase)
Charles Worthington Texturising Spray
L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water
Una Brennan Hydrating Mask (Boots purchase)
Garnier BB Cream (Light)
Garnier Caffine Eye Roll On

Fact: There are two brands that I just can't help but throw my money at. There is also no better way of brightening up a dull January morning than by doing one hell of an online order. Roll the two together and you have an ASOS and Topshop haul.

WHAT I BOUGHT:

I hate a love hate relationship with sales at any time of the year, but there's something magical about the boxing day sales - I seem to loose any self control and always manage to find a few gems. In previous years I've gone to town on Feel Unique and Space NK, but this year the Topshop sale is where it's at for me. There are some little gems I've been lusting over on Feel Unique and Space NK too but the Topshop sale is just perfect. So many recent items from their current collection have gone in to the sale - perfect for putting together the perfect New Years outfit.

Every year when December hits, I take some time out to do a pre Christmas haul for myself before I've spent too much money on pigs in blankets (or had the genius idea of over spending on santa costumes for Nala - yep, that's happening). Usually I stick whole heartedly to the cosy pyjamas and socks and don't tend to worry too much about party outfits. But this year I've bought so little in terms of dresses and more formal clothing that I had to throw a few sparkles here and there.

Last week I went a little bit crazy in boots after watching old drugstore hauls from a few of my favourite YouTubers - then went in to Topshop and fell head over heels for a few of their beauty bits. Et voila, my most recent Drugstore Haul was born.

Concealer: L'Oreal True Match Concealer (2 - Vanilla)
Eyeshadow: Maxfactor Cream Shadows (Copper & Bronze)

Mascara: L'Oreal False Lash Architect Mascara
Brows: Soap & Glory two in one brow pencil (Blondeshell & Hot Chocolate)
Lips: Topshop Velvet Lips (Velveteen Ribbon & Blood Orange)

It's haul time. You know the deal, I buy too much stuff and then come home and pour out the contents of my bags to you. This month my wish list was full of autumnal goodness, including a seriously snuggly jacket and one too many pairs of shoes. This might be the last haul you see for another month or so, but don't be sad, October is round the corner and I'll be back then to show you all of my pre-birthday buys!

Last Saturday we took a trip to the magical place that is Ikea. A.K.A a claustrophobes nightmare. I had a shopping list that had built up to the point where the total spent came to more than our rent, so we decided to make the trip and avoid the list growing any longer. We returned home with half of the wish list, and although there are still a few pieces we will need to get at some point, we've got the essentials - including mini cactai, obviously - so we can get by for now.

Part one of my little Ikea series is just to show a few of the little bits we picked up that have a definite home - there are a few pieces that will work better once other items have been built - so I'm waiting on that one (read: hurry up and build, boyfriend). I picked up a few new mini cactai to add to the living room, as our bay window was just so bare and boring, but at the same time the ledge is really narrow. We also picked up another one of their statement cushions and I'm pretty sure this is the new one that everyone and their dog owns - it works nicely with the colour of the arm chairs and the little bit of greenery behind.

For the bedroom I picked up some white hangers - a total last minute purchase, but they really do look much nicer than regular hangers. Especially seeing as our bedroom is completely white. And then my last two impromptu purchases are the giant (and I mean bigger than my head and neck) milk bottle vase and fake flowers. The flowers reminded me of the norwegian flowers that we ordered in for an event recently and I LOVED them. The thing I found really difficult about the sections that house the little bits and bobs like this is that you end up styling (or is this just me?) and putting things together and before you know if you've picked up a ridiculous amount of small items that will work together in various corners of your home.

How we came in under budget I'll never know...

Someone needs to start dragging me out to Pilates on a Saturday morning instead of leaving me to my own devices. I popped in to town to get a present for a friend and came home with a whole load of new presents for Suzie. Insert all the heart eye'd emojis here.

After previously having a play around with the Kevyn Aucoin Foundation Brush back in July, I couldn't hold off any more and threw it out there when the sales assistant asked me if there was anything else I wanted. I've been thinking about it more than a healthy amount, so it had to happen. I'd also held of picking up Nars Sheer Glow and the Doucer blush for about three years now - basically since I started blogging, so I couldn't really say no to them either.  And then we have the whole mini Whistles and Boots haul thrown in for good measure. Same time next month, yeah? Pah, maybe not - I don't think any of our bank balances are equipped for that!

& HERE'S WHAT I BOUGHT...
Clarins Water Comfort One Step Cleanser
All the Essie polishes!

It's been a long time since I was last let loose in a Sephora, so when Josh and I took a speedy trip to Paris last month, there was no stopping me. Poor boyfriend. I came home with a lean selection of products (thank gawd or this haul would have been longggg), with an even mix of skincare and makeup. But I was a little overwhelmed (and underwhelmed at the same time - is that weird) by the choice in Sephora, however the purchases I did make we're well worth it (reviews coming soon).

And a little extra info for my laaavley blog readers - I also purchased a box of Laduree macarons (all eaten on the Eurostar (oops) and French vogue - fancy!

For all the usual beauty blurb, links and f.a.q's, click through to see the description box on YouTube. Make sure you give it a like and a subscribe (if you liked it obviously) whilst you're there. I'm also at the point where I only have a few videos left on my to-do list, so if you have any requests - beauty or non beauty - then pop a comment below!
You guys know I love a good haul, and when you asked for more regular videos on my recent purchases, I took note. Things got a little spendy last week with a few Space NK discount codes floating around on Amelia and Ruths blogs (note: It can totally be used alongside N-Dulge reward points. Ca-CHING!) I also fell in to that very pretty Chanel trap after seeing their new release popping up on Instagram a few weeks ago. I'll be dishing out the full report tomorrow on that one, but until then stay tuned for a little hair chat later today...

As always if you have any questions on what I'm wearing or where things were from, the description box is your best bet! Anything else - tweet me! (@hello_october_)

After deciding to stay in our current home a little longer than originally planned, I decided to get to work and start purchasing a few more home pieces. With high ceilings and more mantelpieces than one girl needs - I'll take the extra wall space for shelves any time- I like to keep things to a 75/25 split of modern and vintage with furniture and accessories.

I'd been after a tray for a while after becoming a regular lurker on Bridie and Rebecca's Instagrams. So when I saw a vintage cut white tray with Parisian lettering in Debenhams, I grabbed it and headed for the checkout... Obviously getting slightly distracted on route and picking up the silver pineapple dish. I've been keeping my jewellery on it which is perfect as my rings tend to scatter themselves in to the far corners of our flat otherwise!

After Debenhams I thought I was finished with my spending, and the found myself in the Next home section. Funny that. Not too sure how that happened but we're now the proud owners of a china heart bowl. You have no idea how much I enjoy eating my coco pops from this in the morning. I only picked up one, but I have a voucher and I'm thinking I need the full set...

I've also been gifted a few Zara home items from friends since we moved in, my favourite being the butterfly glass that came complete with a large tumblr as well. Great for serving drinks when guests are round. Even better for keeping flowers in. And then there's the cute little H&M home candle courtesy of Luce. Looks adorable, smells like play dough, but I loves it!

Next on my list? Things to spruce up the bathroom. *covers eyes/pretends it doesn't exist*
And the haul returns. Someone remind me to reign it in in February please? I got a bit purchase happy on ASOS last month and picked up some pieces that had been on my list for too long. Camel coat, check. Whistles clutch, check. Chelsea boots, check. ASOS need to develop some form of loyalty point system - or maybe not because that could bankrupt me.

As always all the bumf is in the description box on my channel. I also hit 50,000 subscribers over the past week so a big thank you to all of you, whether you were the 1st, 359th or 50,000th. Thank you. x
Oh December, what happened? The month of giving certainly turned into the month of "one for them, one for Suzie" and then just everything for Suzie. Definitely a sorry, not sorry moment as I found a whole host of amazing new products. Most of the skin are items are aimed at my horrifically dry, sore skin. So if you have any issues with facial eczema they might be worth looking into! On the makeup side of things I found two everyday bases that are definitely worth adding to your shopping lists and a few products that make for a super relaxing bath time.

And it doesn't stop there ladies (and the occasional gent), I might have gone a little crazy on ASOS too, so if style hauls are more your thing then tune in next Sunday at the usual time of 9am! As always, all the details are in the description box on my channel. Happy YouTubing!
Without even being half way through November I'm already penny-less (as usual), who needs to save money for Christmas presents anyway? A love of shopping and a serious hatred towards being cold made me do it. Oh and my Mum, she was shopping with me on Friday so I totally blame her.

It's all about the jumpers, scarves and hats this week, and I didn't stop at the above video, oh no. Primark Christmas jumpers have also been purchased, along with a few bits from Space NK that i'd been lusting after for god knows how long. Boyfriend has officially confiscated my debit cards *sad face*.

For all the links and haul info click through to my channel - it's all in the description box!
Over the past few weeks, two things happened: 1) Two "drugstore" hauls very close in succession and 2) Three budget foundations were purchased. THREE! Am I feeling okay? *holds hand to head*...

I never used to rate the offerings that the high street beauty brands had to offer me - exclusions apply to Collection concealers and a whole host of budget mascaras because they are simply awesome - but over the past few months there have been a fair few releases that have seriously impressed me. Bourjois, Revlon and Rimmel in particular - you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention (and my money).
Welcome to part two of the "Suzie should not be allowed to spend any more money" haul series. The Next haul will be home related - just in time for those of you starting your first year of university in September/October! I've recently stocked up on a few makeup essentials to get me through Autumn and everything it brings - trips to Paris calls for a travel friendly makeup bag, cooler weather calls for a heavier base and the blush and double buying of mascaras? Well, that just for fun.

As always let me know if you have any video requests, I have an insanely long list to get started with on my week off, including a highly requested makeup tutorial to mark my 10,000 subscriber milestone (a massive thank you on that note)! But I'd love to add to that list, so if you have anything, just shout.

Don't forget, the voting for the Cosmo Blog Awards ends on the 30th August, and are announced on my birthday! If you love Hello October as much as I love writing it, then please click HERE and make sure you pop in a little vote :)
