GLOSSIER PRODUCTS WORTH PURCHASING
Back in February I flew to New York for the very first time, I was excited to experience so many different things, and on that list was of course, the Glossier show room. I came, I saw, I left with two things. TWO THINGS. Whilst my partner in crime Alix purchased the entire stock list, I left with minimal product for two reasons, one; cloud paint was days away from launching, and our trip was a little ill timed in that sense, but two; my makeup preferences were so different 10 months ago, and there are so many products I love now that just weren't for me back then. It just wasn't my time yet. Fast forward 10 months and I'm fresh out of summer and still living for bare-ish skin (with my usual loaded eyes, of course) and a dewy complexion. New products have launched and with my change in preferences it's opened up a whole new glossy world. After spending the past two months testing all things Glossier, I feel like I'm up to speed on things. In those two months they've also launched in the UK and brought out three new products (heads up: Glossier YOU review incoming), so there couldn't be a better time to take you through the stars of the Glossier showroom and show you what I think is worth purchasing...
MY TOP THREE
(IN ORDER OF GREATNESS)
So let's start off with my top three, if I had to give the rest of my Glossier stash away, these would be the ones I kept. The Haloscope highlighter has to be top of that list, it comes in stick form, in three shades, all with a dewy centre which gives you a real "summer skin" look, glowy, not shimmery. Not drying, it doesn't highlight any texture in your skin, it completely glosses over. Actually yes that's the perfect work for it, you literally look glossy. It makes my skin look like it has a completely different texture, miles from the dehydrated mess it can often seem. I use the shade Moonstone, which I always thought would be icy and white and look off against my olive skin tone. But it seems to run clear, giving a gorgeous dewy glow with minimal colour pay off. It's the highlighter I've been waiting for all my life.
Holy schmoley I just wrote a lot about a highlighter, maybe we should move on? The Glossier Skin Tint is one that I never thought I'd like, but whilst on my quest to get that angel-like Glossier girl skin, I popped this in to an order a few weeks back. I use the shade dark to give me a little more warmth to my skin (it's sheer so you can get away with this) and I FREAKING LOVE IT. It really does give a gorgeous glow to the skin with minimal coverage. My skin has been much better over the past six months, so this has become my everyday base of choice. And though the product amount is small, the packaging is very travel friendly, and for once my everyday base actually fits in to my makeup bag!
Finally, Cloud Paint is a must have for anyone who loves a cream blush. I use the shade Dusk, but all the shades are so beautiful, and you can mix shades together too to create a colour that's completely custom! The pigmentation is great and the consistency is gorgeous, and as with my other two favourites it seems to smooth over the skin, rather than drying down and highlighting texture.
Now, two out of three of these are quite widely raved about, so keep on reading if you want the scoop on the must haves for your beauty bag...

FOR THE SKINCARE JUNKIES
My two favourites from the skincare category are the Super Pure & Super Bounce serums, they're both light, non sticky, and leave your skin feeling lovely. Super Bounce aims to target hydration whilst Pure is ideal for blemish prone skin. The Priming Moisturiser Rich is a lovely day cream which leaves your skin feeling hydrated and ready for makeup. This one tends to be a people pleaser with good reviews on both the oily and dry skinned sides, however with my very very dehydrated skin, it's not one I would use daily but it's still my favourite out of all the moisturisers. Finally, The Body Hero duo is a recent launch that I LOVE. The smell is soft and sweet with a blend of orange blossom and neroli and both leave my skin feeling so soft. At the moment I'm religiously using the Body Hero oil cleanser whilst in the shower, followed by the moisturiser every other wash. They're gorgeous, and though not something everyone likes to splurge on, they'd make a great gift (*cough* trying not to say Christmas *cough*).
THE MINIMAL MAKEUP LOVERS ESSENTIALS
The other products that have made it in to my regular rotation are Boy Brow in the shade medium, a gorgeous little brow gel not too dissimilar from Benefits Gimmie Brow, but without the £23 price tag. And then we have Balm dotcom, the everyone product. There are so many scents to choose from that there really is something for everyone; scentless, cherry, birthday cake, mint, coconut, rose. All of which smell heavenly (well, except the scentless one. Obvs). I'm a cherry and birthday cake kind of girl personally. The recent launch I didn't expect to like, Wowder, is actually a lovely lightweight powder that I use whenever I need a little bit of staying power under my peepers. It doesn't make me look caky and doesn't exaggerate my dehydration lines. I like.
FINALLY
That sweater... We all know the one, that Glossier sweater with it's grey marl and worn in, slouchy feel. Everyone needs one of these in their life. I recommend sizing up for extra cosy-ness.

Why The Chanel Rouge Allure Ink's Are My NO.1.
Prepare yourself for a lipstick love letter...
The Chanel Rouge Allure Ink's were released back in September and I quickly fell head over heels in love with them, so I thought it about time they had their own spotlight on hello-october.com. Don't you agree?
Let's get one thing settled before we start this review. These are not the dry matte formula you associate with a liquid lipstick. In fact, these have entirely changed my preference when it comes to a liquid lipstick. I no longer reach for those with a matte finish, but those with a velvet feel, and my lips have well and truly thanked me for it.
Despite not being 100% matte, these lipsticks still fall in to the afore mentioned category as they do dry down to a matte looking finish. However the feel is anything but. They're comfortable and don't feel dry at all, and last for a good few hours without the need for a touch up. I say a good few hours because, let's get real, I eat at least every four hours and drink frequently. So naturally most lip products on the market don't get past this wear time with me. And then we have the colour range. Whilst there isn't a vast selection of colours, the eight in the range are all gorgeous and there's a little something for everybody. There are even a few reds which allows us a better chance at finding our perfect rouge tone in the collection.
My personal favourite shades are the lightest and darkest of the collection, Amoureux (a nude, rosey pink) and Expérimenté (a gorgeous dark red). I wear both on a daily basis and will happily repurchase them once I've used both up. And if Chanel do decide to expand the shade range in the collection I will be first in line at my local counter to purchase. They're that good.
SIDE NOTE: These are limited edition, but you can still get them online and I've seen them on a few counters so they're worth giving a swatch if you spot them!

LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW FOUNDATION
We may only be a few weeks in to 2016, but I already have a new foundation that it a strong contender for foundation of the year. The Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation is the newest addition to the Les Beiges range. It's a collection that not only is my favourite of all Chanel products, but also now contains my new favourite foundation from the brand and a strong contender for one of my all time favourite base products.
I've been asked a lot for my thoughts on this, and although it's pretty obvious as to the main consensus here I'm going to talk you through it in a little more detail. For starters, the packaging for me is a total dream. I'm not opposed to the Vitalumiere Aqua style packaging, but at the same time it doesn't please me in the same way a little frosted glass does. Despite this style packaging being a little more on the heavy side, the bottle feels far less chunky than the Perfection Lumiere (possibly due to the smaller lid?) so packing this in to my makeup bag doesn't feel like a squeeze.
I use the shade N° 30 which is a great match for my winter skin tone, There are nine shades in the range (two that seem to be for those with more pink toned skins), and although I'm able to find good matches within the Chanel colour spectrum I do wish there were half shades added!
And then we have the product itself. This base sits between the Vitalumiere Aqua and Perfection Lumiere in terms of finish. It's luminous, but not too dewy and is a far more creamy consistency than that of V.A. Think the magic foundation with a little more of an everyday skin finish, or Dior's Nude Skin BB Cream with more buildability. It's light to medium coverage depending on how you apply it (beauty blenders give a lighter coverage on the first layer where as fingers and more dense brushes give a more medium coverage) and is so easy to build up without looking like you've gone too far.
TLDR: IT'S DREAMY. WELL WORTH A PURCHASE FOR THOSE WITH NORMAL TO DRY SKIN.

#MyInstantGlow
It's been eight months since I flew to Barcelona with Clarins for four magical days of shooting. Finally the new Spring Instant Glow Makeup Collection has launched alongside a few videos featuring yours truly!
The collection is one of my favourites from Clarins, the packaging is beautiful and the new shades their Ombre Irridescentes Shadows are totally stunning. The shadows are wonderfully buttery and pigmented and give a beautiful sheen to the eyelids. These plus the 5 Colour Eye palette, with its beautiful bronzy shades make for the perfect Spring eye makeup. Finished off with the Be Long Mascara (a new favourite of mine), an easy Spring glow with bright eyes is super easy to achieve.
You can see me using a few of my favourite products from the collection in the tutorial below, as well as the amazing video we shot in the W Hotel and on the streets of Barcelona!
It really was a magical experience and I cannot thank Clarins enough for giving me the opportunity to be a part of such a special project!
Check out the new Spring collection from Clarins here!

November has been a surprisingly busy month - strangely it always does end up being this way. But despite the crazy schedule I made sure to test out a whole host of new products, and came out with a rather full favourites video!
Aside from the beauty goodness, I've also been dying to tell you about something that's been in the works for a while now. On the 9th of December (7pm - 9pm), Alix & I will be hosting a meet up in the Kiehl's store on Regents Street and we've absolutely love to meet some of you! You can apply for tickets by retweeting THIS TWEET on my twitter account. The winners will be picked on the 4th December and will receive a place for themselves and a friend to come along on the night. There will be a live Q&A, so please bring any burning questions along with you, a chance to have a one to one chat, plus nibbles, drinks and a little bag of skincare goodies to take home with you.
Best of luck if you do enter - I'm so looking forward to getting to meet some of you and give you all a big squeeze as your support has always meant so much to me.

It's no secret that I'm a major Tom Ford fan girl, the brand ticks every box for me and with each collection I get a little more excited.
They've recently released their Noir Colour Collection and it's a more than a little special. Inspired by the new signature fragrance, Noir Pour Femme, the collection is housed in a matching black packaging with the lipstick case in particular matching the ridged design of the bottles.
First Time is one of the latest lipsticks I've added to my collection. A highly pigmented natural pink shade that feels like a more wearable, grown up version of MAC's Please Me. It's cute and fun but with a matte finish that means business at the same time.
Yes it's another one to add to the wish list, but with such a wearable everyday shade, and a finish that can take you from day to night, how could it not be?
The O.H best be watching his bank balance because back ups of this little number are all over my Christmas wish list...
Available November 2nd.

When it comes to summer nothing beats a gold eye look with tonnes of highlighter, and whilst applying this look in Ibiza I realised I had never created a makeup tutorial like it. We were heading out for the evening so I decided to make the look a little more exaggerated than I would during the day - I particularly enjoyed the heavier contour and a hefty amount of highlighter that made its way on to my face.
The gold glitter on the eyes and highlighter gave the illusion of an almost wet look - so with Tamara's encouragement (great friend, smashing photographer) I hopped in the pool and tried not to smudge anything!

The lesson I learnt from this is that Lorac is an awesome brand and IT cosmetics are definitely a brand I'm wanting to buy more of. I can't lie, I am already planning my next trip to the US and the shopping list is rather long already...
THINGS I PICKED UP:

Saying that, the reason I might not have missed anything may be due to a rather large drop in Sephora and said haul may be making its way to you soon. Eyes peeled ladies, eyes peeled...

I don't know what came over me but a few weeks back I swiped on a little purple liner and actually liked it! Accompanied by a bright baby pink lip, it sounds like the most un-me thing ever on paper, but it actually works. It's a pretty simple look over all, but the addition of pink lips and cheeks adds a summer vibe and stops the deep purple tone looking so autumnal (although this would be amazing in the autumn too)!
WHAT'S ON MY FACE:
FOUNDATION: Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser
CONCEALER: Mac Pro Correct & Conceal Palette
EYESHADOW: By Terry Ombre Blackstar - Misty Rock
MASCARA: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
BROWS: Soap & Glory Brow Archery Pencil & L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper
BLUSH: Benefit Sugerbomb Blush
BRONZER & HIGHLIGHT: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow
LIPS: Mac Please Me & Hue

I decided to play up the lip colour a little and make things feel a bit more summer appropriate by using a newly released lipstick that is fast becoming one of my all time favourites and really enjoyed playing up a slightly heavier contour and false lashes. I was pretty chuffed with the result and although I'll never look like Emma I loved sporting a slightly softer eye makeup for once.
P.S Ten points to those that notice the accidental addition of liner at the end - I may have forgotten to film the close ups and moved on to the next video!

It's that time of the month where I have a small panic at the realisation that my life is flashing before my eyes and put together the best of my beauty stash from the past 29 days. This month there are a fair few lip product loves as well as some skincare saviours (shock horror, I know, I never try new skincare!) and a concealer palette that makeup hoarders and collectors will absolutely love!

As the collection name might have already indicated, this isn't a summer drop made for those who love the bright and pigmented, however for those of us who love a beach babe-esque, neutral look, or for anyone who has an onslaught of weddings over the next few months, this is perfect!
I'm going to quickly whizz past the packaging, as this is Chanel and we all know it's drop dead gorgeous on the outside, but the inside? I've listed my loves and likes below for you...
LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW MULTI COLOUR No.02 (L.E): A multi toned powder that creates a healthy post-holiday glow without the holiday. Could you have already guessed that this would fall into the "LOVE" category? It's super finely milled making it a breeze to blend and has SPF 15 too!
LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW SHEER COLOUR STICK No.20 A cream contour/bronzer in stick form - normally this would be on my love list one hundred percent, but with my current skin tone I just can't get the right pigmentation out of it. It's almost a cream to powder formula and is incredibly blend-able, to the point where it's unnoticeable on my skin. This will be amazing on lighter skin tones and come winter I'm sure I'll be cracking this out to add some extra warmth to my skin.
LES BEIGES LE VERNIS - PRECIOUS BEIGE & BEIGE PUR: Chanel, you are slowly winning me over with your nail polishes! The few I've tried recently have actually had decent wear time - no more chipping five minutes after application - Say WHAAAA?! It's still not the best but I feel there's been some kind of change recently, whether that's in the formula or just my own nails are less prone to chipping? Either way These are two lovely neutral shades that are perfect for more formal summer occasions - they're a little on the sheer side though, so a little more time is needed to get round to a third coat.
LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW HYDRATING LIP BALM (L.E) And last but most definitely not least - I think I've found my perfect nude! Sods law it's limited edition. The hydrating lip balm is a beautiful nude rosey pink. It sits in between the formula of a balm and the rouge coco lipsticks - pigmented but not too sheer and not too lustrous. If you want to see what it looks like on then keep your eyes peeled for this in an upcoming video!
It's available in stores from the 19th June, so keep an eye on your local counter and let me know if you pick anything up!
